And for anyone who grew up on SNES…good ol Zelda:

For some reason I was hoping she would twist her ankle on the debris in the first video. Maybe its because she looks like she belongs on the Mickey mouse club.

:lol

All I know is this chick can play. I should have learned how to play this instead of the saxophone.

While she is quite cute and videos are well made with the music not being half bad, it just doesn’t work in the end because violins will never be cool or hip.

Doesn’t help that she’s “violin-lip syncing” in the videos instead of actually playing.

Even these guys playing a very good tune and doing crazy moves aren’t cool enough to pull it off.

Just the music.

:lol

I think violins are awesome. But then again, I grew up in a very musical environment (all my siblings play instruments as do I, etc.). All of us went through music school, etc.

I’m trying to teach myself harmonica right now. But I’m having a problem bending notes so it’s not so fun. lol.

I didn’t say I didn’t like them, especially the modernized variety with a track in the background, I just don’t think it “works”.

Violins are equivalent of roller skates in American society. They take skill, some major X-game style feats can be pulled off with them and there are competitions for the matter, they will never look right during the “performance”.

:lol
