Exactly. I watched the TV special where they made those islands…they’re packed with some ridiculous equipment to be stronger than real islands, and that huge reef around the outside protects them from a lot of natural weather/erosion.
This developement is pretty wild also.
They have a really good special on the Discovery Channel on the making of the islands of the world. bad ass shit right there, they thought of everything!
My CIO just went there last year. I think they have an indoor ski area. Would be a great place to visit!

the island is pretty nice from what i could see, the beach is really nice and skiing in the mall looked really cool. dunno if id be game for it though. so many nice cars in dubai its not even funny… sad thing is they treat them like shit…

heres some more crazy architecture in Dubai, if you’ve been under a rock for the past 5 years.
theirs some examples, it basically is a grown up Disneyland. The place is straight outta willy wonka and the chocolate factory.
This is what happens when your leader is smart. Dubai is one of the leading exporters of oil, the leader (Mr.???) knows that it wasn’t going to last forever so he made Dubai “The Best” tourist attraction. I could be wrong but I think they only started to make Dubai like that 10 years ago maybe less?

Or when you’re one of the top 5 oil exporting countries in the world. People don’t pay any taxes in oil exporting countries…
