Local CGT owner has an expensive oops

^I know but that is a retarded way to do it.
I hope the towing company has good insurance.

Edit: I think they were stoned. Look at the one guy standing there, I would be freaking out this guy doesn’t even flinch.

Edit 2: I bet he wishes he had AWD.

wow, were you bullied by rich kids while growing up? Between this and and your “Spoiled College Stundent thread”… makes me think you have some pent up hate. need to talk?

[/quote]

Ha… nah, but generally people who are smart enough to earn the money to buy a CGT would take one look at that loading procedure and say GTFO.

And most real loading ramps I’ve seen have grips that are designed to prevent exactly what happened on that setup.

As for the “spoiled” title in the other thread, maybe entitled would have been a better word choice. Regardless, the kid was a douche, felt he was above the law, and got zapped for it.

Owned.

If I made enough money to have $660k car I think I’d spring for the $260 loading ramps.

Oh how about these:
http://www.discountramps.com/truck-trailer-ramps.htm

There are multiple attaching end options to choose from. The hook end will hook over existing round rails up to 1-5/16" in diameter or rub rails. The flat plate end rests directly on the trailer or truck bed. The flat plate ramp end has a rubber grip pad underneath the lip and includes (2) safety straps to prevent the ramp from kicking out during loading and unloading operations. The last option for ramp end is the pin on end. This style requires skid seat ramp attaching brackets and is the safest option because the ramp is securely pinned to the truck, trailer or loading dock. If wider brackets than the ramp are purchased, the ramps can be slid back and forth in the bracket while still being attached to the trailer to accommodate different width vehicles being loaded.

So sucks to be him. $660k car > wood ramp loading games.

what a fucking douche!

If I had a 660K car it wouldnt go anywhere on an open flatbed tow truck. I would own an enclosed trailer or I would have a friend who did.

Thats just sad and a shame.

meh shit happens…thats what insurance is for

wood ramps guys!!! wake up!!!

Who has a 660k car?

They retail for just a hair over $400 and are selling in the low 300’s now.

My bad, I threw “Carrera GT Price” in Google and used the first number I saw. Now I see they were comparing it’s price to an Enzo.

Regardless, 300k, 400k, 660k… still worth enough to not attempt what was done in the vid.

Hah, I wouldn’t even do that with a $1500 car.

Thanks JayS…getting me in trouble with MPD…

Srsly Kyle, watch it, I know where your car is…

 :frowning:

Or use the winch on the flatbed…

WOW…THAT SUCKS

…sucks almost as much as spending so much on a Vette that you can’t afford a keyboard where the caps lock also comes with an “off” option.

see other recent posts for more examples :stuck_out_tongue:

:picard:

Or he could get the right kind of tow truck for the job! They make tow trucks now days that get super low, the whole bed tilts and slides…

I bet there was one person in that group who said that the setup was a bad idea, and no-one would listen…
