i know the pepsi center has hockey skills times during weekdays around 10am or so. do any other rinks have ice time similar to this (non scrimmage). i have never played before, and i am looking to get my feet under me before i start playing with friends. i have all equipment now (FINALLY).

I am looking to do the same…so pardon my ignorance…but what is different during these times as opposed to a skate & shoot?
i think skate and shoots are for scrimmaging, according to the pepsi center. im not sure if the pepsi centers definition is the same elsewhere…
holiday has their info listed on their website. holidayrinks.com. i only looked briefly but it said all they have for adults is skate and shoots on thursdays from 11:30am-1pm.
Holiday;s skate and shoot is awful. very low skill level. You can go there as a beginner and not feel out of place or cumbersome (i know, at pepsi they give you a hard time if you’re not good (which im ok with lol)).
buff state skate and shoots are pretty packed during winter recess and they usually have too many guys to get skate and shoots going, so you can go and practice. call 878-4198, its a recording of the skate and shoot and open skate times for the week (if someone picks up, just tell them you wanted the recording and they’ll tell you to call right back).

Hamburg NIKE base has skate and shoots everyday i think from 1-3pm only 5.50 and very good
