(Make sure you Zoom Out Slowly.) I swear nothing will pop out.
Seriously, who the hell lives there? what island is that? who owns it? lol I have so many questions.

check for a birds eye view on msn maps.
im kinda confused as to the significance? lots of people live on islands
:gotme:
talk about being in the middle of know where.
Is it supposed to be a tit or something you are looking at when you zoom out?
no, where?
I agree with the OP. I think it’s cool and would like to know more!
So that’s where island of “lost” moved.
Can’t wait for the next season.
how many islands did you zoom in on before finding this needle in the haystack?
I was looking at this map: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d9/Football_world_popularity.png
And there are couple of dots there in the south.
missle silo, helicopter pad?
jan 21st
:ohyeah:
neat find.
I followed a few of the roads they made, one took me to the western part of the island. fewer buildings, but more expansive…looks like farming area. maybe that’s where they grow the soylent green.
The coordinates are -37.088552,-12.333945
hahaha thats why I got my DVR yesterday
use http://www.wikimapia.org/ and you can identify almost anything!
It’s the island of Tristan da Cunha, a British territory, population 271. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tristan_de_Cunha
lol this is very cool. Good find i had no idea wikipedia had map info, that island is wierd.
the absence of any type of runway, helicopter pad, or ships at the dock is kinda interesting to me, that one thing could be a pad I guess.
“In 2005, the island was given a United Kingdom post code (TDCU 1ZZ) to make it easier for the residents to order goods online.” nice
“On Tristan da Cunha the population of 271 people share just seven surnames: Glass, Green, Hagan, Lavarello (a typical Ligurian surname), Repetto (another typical Ligurian surname), Rogers and Swain. There are 80 families on the island.”
uh oh
There are instances of health problems because of endogamy, including asthma and glaucoma, largely because of the inevitable marriages among closely related couples, for example marriages between second degree cousins, that comes with having such a small gene pool.
incest FTW
Ah, so the “missile silo” on the smaller island is a meteorological station.
Looks like it cost a pretty penny, it must be important for those 271 in-breds to know if they need their umbrellas day to day.
And a good writeup on CNN:
