shawn… its because u cant get out of the hole with that thing… fuckin land yacht… 1.96 sixty foot PWNS YOOO
The weight of the car has nothing to do with it getting out of the hole. On the street, the car is vicious.
A buddy went 11.0 @ 121 w/ 1.53 60’ on STREET tires with under 500AWHP. By the way, it was full weight like mine. His trap is the exception though.
A 3/S even with 1.6X’ need over 130MPH to get into the 10s.
what is the first half of the track like on these cars? 127mph trap is damn good for a 4k lbs car. it obviously has no problem making the power to get it down the track in 10 seconds, time to look at where it lacks.
shawns problem is keeping the car faced down the track… he likes launching sideways. :ponder
The 1st half is absolute dog shit.
BPU (LOW 3XXAWHP) and TD04-15G (45XAWHP) I’d go 1.9s 60’s by spinning or slightly bogging (Careful with the tranny which is rare and very pricey). Broke into the 12s and 11s with LOW 1.8s and LOW 1.7s 60’s when I actually took a risk and launched. With the 15G, traction became a big issue as I would SPIN really bad (I almost hit the wall a few times coming out a bit sideways).
With the new setup and making more power. I just absolutely blaze the tires (Brand new too) and bang off the rev limiter until the 330’. I typically would go 1.9-2.1 60’s but I would still go 11.8-12.1 but the trap went from 117->125-127MPH consistant. The car seen VHT once but I had to leave after a few runs due to spark plug blow out issues.
I got power for 13X pretty easily (went 127 at low boost/no meth) but it’s pointless with street tires.
On the street, the car does hook up and sometimes extremely well as I don’t have that greasy/grimey shit that is on the track.
