I think an all motor B16 with 1595 cc of displacement will have a tough enough time hitting a 13 in a trimmed down civic, let alone a 12. If you really want a 12 second et, pick up that bottom end from fmf. [out of curiosity, what are you asking for that?] Otherwise, a B16B (in a '98 HB w/ toda header), runs ~14.9. In my opinion a B18 or B20 would be the way to go. You get so much more power for your effort.
If you are looking for something with more driveablity, Smort, and I have an LS block / vtec head for sale if you are interested. USDM B16 pistons will yield ~11.5:1 CR in that set up.
The resources are all here. If you have any questions, get at someone.
ITR pistons aren’t anything special unless they are paired with a gsr / itr crank, in their respective bottom ends. If you plan on rebuilding the motor, I would go with a GSR. If you just want to swap and roll, I’d go with the ITR.
If you havea b16 you could build a forged 81.5 mm Ls bottem end with girdle, guard whatever you want for around 1,500. This would be forged parts, totally fresh motor.
This would be cheaper than a gsr swap or itr swap, you already have a good tranny and head. For the money u save on the swap you could buy and lsd and cams, and tuning and make more power. Hell you could prolly even get a sleeve job done and go 85mm.
