looking for pistons

Looking for good pistons for my all motor B16, stock size…anyways suggestions…anyone have any experience with an all motor B16…looking to build an autocross hatch that can still run 12s or so in the 1/4…possibly considering ls vtec,anyone familiar with that swap?

also if anyone has any 16" wheels they are wanting to sell let me know…light wheels and no chrome…nothing that i can get off of any stock car preferrably

it is goin to be pretty hard to hit 12’s in a B16 all motor car with stock bore unless the shell is striped

all i have on the inside is two front seats carpet and the consoles

on slicks don’t expect anything more than very high 12’s if that

If you’re building a B16 atleast bore it to 85mm and get it sleeved. You’ll be much happier if you did.

Are you from the same Houston near Cannonsburgh?

I would pick up an ls block for 100 dollars or less and stuff some p30’s in there. You will be much happier with the results than with the 1.6 if your staying n/a.

Definitely go with a 1.8 bottom end if not bigger. GSR bottom end with ctr pistons and some decent cams will definitely rip and possibly break into the 12’s on slicks.

ctr pistons will give you a little boost in cr but as the others have said its hard to run 12’s with that b16

also, highway star has some sort of type R piston that i think he is trying to sell. they are sitting at my house, i just dont recall what the are.

sound deadening? useless metal supports and brackets in the dash, back seat support, so on and so on. to hit 12’s all motor on a b16 you better gut the shit out of your car.

better think about some carbon fiber and lexan glass too, that car has to be light

ctr pistons will be ok for the 1.6 but if you shoud decide to go 1.8 I would recommend against them for a coupe reasons. They will be like high 12’s compression ratio and they will be alot of weight slinging around at the end of an ls crank at 9,000 rpms.

I’ve seen 175 whp out ctrs with s2s2 cams in a 1.6, I dont know what your power goals are.

Like everyone said to even dream of 12’s that car is gonna have to be feather lite and still no gaurantees.
