I bought a b16 for real cheap and started taking it apart over the weekend. I want to build a stock-ish B16 all motor. Any one know how Id figure out what compression Id be at if I used a B16 block with a LS crank, LS rods and GSR pistons?

assuming the use of an oem headgasket and a vtec head you’d be between 8.7 - 9.0 compression.
I’d really advise against using an ls crank. If you really want to use an ls crank, use a 1.8 block to put it in.
If you need a b16 crank for the build let me know, I got a few of em.
Thanks, Im going to use the b16 crank with b16 rods and GSR pistons.
you cant use a 1.8 crank in a 1.6 motor…the deck heights are different
get used usdm itr or even ctr pistons, free power w/ the compression
fuck gsr pistons, they are crap
oh dude, if you need b16 rods, you can have them for $10. Just let me know and I’ll bring them by swerve so you can pick em up.
The story is I picked up a b16 for cheap, I just want to rebuild it for cheap.
if its a jdm b16a then you already have the highest dome/compression piston. if its a usdm b16athen you might consider switching for slightly higher compression. hastings rings are cheap and very good oem replacements.
are you scrapping the turbo build and is this going in your hatch??!
