ctr pistons in an ls block is over 13:1… i’ve been there, done that.

right. the only problem with that calculator originally posted is the piston to deck. ctr’s on ls rods in an ls block/crank is “out of the hole” by like .020" iirc
thats what the number is referring to in that calculator. .020 is out of the hole, while a negitative number such as (-.020) would be down the cylinder.
i also did a compression check and it had a oressure of 215psi across the board. wouldn’t 13.13:1 be well above that?
compression = ratio - 1 raised to the 1.1 power, times 14.7
13.1:1 is 228psi…
so 215psi is 11.4?
