So today the radiator in my E36 cracked on me right where the upper radiator hose meets the radiator. I need to replace it but now seems like a good time to upgrade at the same time. OEM radiators go for $150 new and I can find some alluminum “racing” radiators online but not reallly sure if it would be worth getting. Do the “racing” radiators really improve cooling over stock? Any suggestions? Not looking to spend over $350 TOPS on the radiator.

I got another oem/Behr one… when it blows in another 50-80k - rinse,repeat. Stupid aftermarket Nissen lasted about 3 months before it started leaking at the end tanks.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, somebody with an e36 told me that behr now makes an all-metal rad. for the e36s now.
I don’t think there are any after-markets that have the same cooling capacity as the OEM BEHR. Just stay OEM.
