Lossless or Lossy Compression music

flac/ALC, have been doing it for years, and if you find really good FLAC they are at about 1200kbps… at the same time this is a complete waste if you do not have the monitors to support the difference in resolution of the two.

I use apple lossless for everything, cant find a way to make a ipod play flac… And itunes wont play it also, so its useless for me… I just rip them to apple lossless and im off…

And although i have a strong hate for ‘mp3s’ much of my music is thus… :frowning:

Its soo freeking hard to find the shit i listen to in lossless without buying the cd and ripping it yourself, but you cant buy most of the cd’s anywhere besides the internet anyways… And thats pricey…

foobar2000 plays FLAC and most lossless formats, you can also put rockbox on your ipod instead of the normal ipod software and it will play flac

most people can’t hear the difference between 192 and 320 and .wav

believe it or not…studies done are quite hilarious.

I think you mean .wmv

.wav is uncompressed

lol…

Anyways, im normally on my mac, so… iTunes it is! I know how much you hate it, but it works for me…

Maybe you should because it doesn’t make any sense

itsJim, it makes sense to ME.

People can’t hear the difference between 192 and 320, let alone .wav. Some people just can’t hear what they’re listening for. I think if you played someone a 64 kbps MP3, they’d begin to recognize the flaws in those 192 kbps files.

I’m retarded… I missed the “and wav”

To be honest, I dont see a difference. I have played from my desktop (digital to digital) to my bose speakers at home and anything above 192kbps is hard to tell a difference.
