Lowes has snowblowers for pretty cheap...

Right now all of the troy-bilt snowblowers are 15% off. Not all are reading this way as of this morning but the pricing is the same as yesterday and I assume it to be a programming glitch not showing the original price only the sale price.

Then I hit up Ebay for a 10% coupon and for $2 i was able to take an additional $76.42 off of the order.

Basically:
28" Snow blower originally: $878.75
Minus the 15% Discount: -115.60
New Sub Total: $764.15
Minus 10% Coupon: -76.42
New Sub Total: 687.73
Plus NYS tax: $60.18

Grand Total: $747.91

Also if you have a lowes card you can choose to take 5% more off the top ($-35.39) or 18 months of no interest financing.

Comparable model from sears was $999

Just an FYI - if you ever need parts for anything, call the manufacturer directly. The lowes hot line blows, unless you want to talk to shanana.

FYI, I’m the guy to talk to at Lowes on NFB. I’ll make sure you don’t buy any crap you don’t need.

(BTW, Sears snowblower are made by MTD, same parent company as Troy Bilt)

Hey thanks for the PM back. I found a way to get the coupon… It just took me an extra second to figure out that ebay sells everything.

No problem dude.

If you’re in a pinch next time with the coupon, PM I’ll figure something out.

If anyone ever needs a 10% off coupon in a pinch, go to the post office and ask for a moving packet. I usually get 3 or 4 and they contain 10% off coupons for lowes.

 people helpin’ people

That is the normal for me, but today is Columbus day (post office closed) and the sale ends today. The $2.00 spend was worth it for the $75 savings.

Just went to the store to collect it and I was wrong. I saved even more than I thought. Original price was 899, and the store is not advertising 15% off so online is the only way to go. This is true for all models.

I have never seen you there.

I work mornings/days usually. Lately I’ve been working Pro Services, but technically I am Seasonal.

I was at the Post Office just the other day and someone asked for a moving packet and the guy asked if they were really moving. I guess I won’t go to that post office to get my Lowes coupon. lol

^^ The advertisers pay for them, not the post office so I do not feel at all bad. I would have just said “Of course, why else would my wife send me out for this?”

It’s not a matter of who pays for them, we literally don’t get any mover’s packets anymore. We used to get four or five cases every three months, now we get about half a case, trust me I know, I put in the order for them and have to deal with this issue and it sucks for us too. We get to a point where we have to make photo copies of just the COA form so people who really do move can change their address. So it’s not a matter of us being dicks, we literally don’t get the forms anymore.

Good info from a good source. Thanks for the clarification.
