LSA/LS9/L76 Powered G8 SleepingBoosty

Not much progress, only been working on it a couple hours at a time. Top end is all together, now its just modifying all of the wiring and vacuum lines, mounted the accessories, pinning the crank, fuel pump, and wiring in the intercooler pump.

looking good, add a 75 shot to keep those iat down

This is why I like centi blowers

He can modify the cooling system to help a lot.

Yea that’s why I went with the zl1 lid and a huge heat exchanger. Eventually ill add an icebox for the track.

Ran into issues with the injectors being too tall but made it work. Got stuck helping a friend remodel his bathroom all weekend so its still not done, but at least its starting to look cool…

like this build a lot!

It runs. Now just gotta find time to get it tuned…

Nice. Pics, videos, burnouts?

Damn that was quick

Hay Zeus! wow! pics of completed!

No heaters yet. Still have to get tuned and tidy up a few things. Drove it to work this morning with no issues, unfortunately the supercharger whine is barely audible above the exhaust.
First startup vid, notice the oil buring off of the headers…Started right up after priming the engine oil pressure.
Injectors are extremely loud which is what you can hear in the vid.

Definitely notice a huge increase in torque as soon as dip into the gas, and that’s without letting the rpms get above 3500.

My buddy’s heading down to Leicester / Empire tonight. Hopes to break into 11’s tonight.

dang that’s awesome. I Sierra Denali + this setup would probably make a really fun tow vehicle… Definitely storing this thought for later consideration.

Truck would tow a house. Most dynos I’ve seen have you making over 500ft-lb at 2000 rpm. If you don’t have to delete DOD this swap can be done in a weekend, and the parts are stupid cheap.

is that an 8 rib? what brand belt is that. most 8ribs I see are the green gates HD fleet ones.

Yea it’s an 8 rib. The crank pulley is oversized and I wanted to buy the green one but the size I needed was back ordered so I got this one through continental. Seems to be the same design just not green. Ill prob end up having two belts, one for summer and one for winter as I change the pulleys back in forth to change boost for the seasons.

Need snow tires and wheels?

Did you pin the crank pulley for this?
