Most of you know my old setup. Heads/cam 150 shot of the giggle gas. She looked good and ran like a raped ape. Needless to say I was sick of filling two bottles all the time.
So I decided it’s time to boost this bitch. Time for a picture fest.
Truck Manifolds
ARP Head Studs
Interfooler
Got rid of the FAST 90/90 and got me an LS6 Mani with stock ported TB
This stupid big thing also…
Some flanges for the manis and some 60lb injectors
Some 317 Truck heads to drop the compression down to 9.4:1
Then it was time to go to work making room for that stupid big turbo.
Cut out the core supports to stand the radiator up.

Then it was time to swap out the old heads and cam for the 317’s and ls6 cam/ ls6 manifold.
Then while I was waiting for parts I decided that I need to get rid of all the black loom on this engine harness. What a royal pain in the ass.
That not really done but parts showed up so I went to town getting big McNasty in front of the motor.
As of right now I have the intercooler mounted , rad positioned where it needs to be and intercooler piping worked out.
Then I test fit the front end to see how she’s gonna fit and look.
Thats about where I am at now. Gotta order some more things but I’m doing it as I can.
Why did you ditch the Fast 90/90?
Money. LS6 works just as well boosted and I was able to make money and get the LS6.

oh shit, badass
when you say “truck heads” and "truck manifold’ what do you mean?
Good question but i’m only pushing this to whatever my injectors support. I guess 700ish is what i’ll make.
It means the heads are off of a silverado as are the manifolds. The truck heads have a bigger combustion chamber which will lower my compression to a boost friendly level. The manifolds simply get mounted on the wrong side of the engine facing forward so big mcnasty fits in there.
Thanks boys. I’m doing what I can. Should be a blast to drive now.
Can’t wait to see some #'s and times

so wait, ls1 bottom ends can hold that kind of power with just head bolts and lowered compression?
