Wouldent have mattered much anyways man, they completely fucked anyone with a camera of any good spots.
The only spot to take pictures was where we were last time behind the fence in the spectators area, I had to stand on top of my car to try and keep peoples heads and the fence outa the shots. They wouldent even allow us on the far side by the consession stand because that was the direction in which the cars were comming, and also I think due to that being where the last guy got fucked up at the last event.
They wouldent allow us anywhere on the track this time, including over by the busses and whatnot where we were last time, it really sucked, and honestly I think someone needs to talk to howard/joe about letting people on the track who are trying to cover the event.
I’m full aware of the dangers of being on the track, and honestly I would have no problem getting 2ft away from a car, I know how to jump the fuck outa the way if I can see that there gonna loose it before the get into the turn
that’s something we need to talk to them about this winter. maybe getting a few jersey barriers up and making a press area to let you guys go out and get your shots in a safe yet good area to take pics and vids.
The spot over by where the last guy beefed it was acctualy perfect for this layout with elliots 200mm lens… I got all the oncomming shots, and especialy in the last turn…
IMO where I was standing was completely safe, a row of jersey barriers and the building to leap behind… It was really pissing me off that he wouldent allow us to stand there.
When i go to fonda speedway I can sit on the corner of a turn… litteraly 2 feet away from the front wheel of a dirt modified going 3 wide at 90mph into a turn sideways and not get bitched at…
Exactly. Thats the decision of the photographer to a point. As long as he signs a waiver who the fuck cares.
Thats why AIS is 1000x better than lebanon valley. And wtf is howards deal every event ad said with new better spectator seating and clearly nothing changed. If he wants these events to be a hit and make money off them he needs to put effort into them. You can get better seats a t a damn auto x

Anyways I agree with what a few people have said, he needs to go take a look at Englishtown and take some notes.
Im 100% sure the last event dident go on due to Randys Arm drop event, he was trying to get all the attention to that, but in all honestly I think it would have brought more money/eyes to both events if he had both of them going on…
None the less the arm drop event stopped at 3PM… so it could have worked anyways.
And the Waiver doesnt mean shit ron, the whole point of the waver is to have the names of the pople there in case anything happens. If you got hurt your not boudn to that waiver, in NYS you cannot waive your right to sue, so insesne that waiver is just in hope that you dont know this fact

Which is why even with waivers signed theyre very cautious…
The do it so they have a headcount of whose there, and if something happens they can find out who is in the car.
And they hope your to stupid to realize that you can still sue them.

that last event pretty much just put NY on the map for drifting! my car died as a result of the epicness… so today is day 1 of the overhaul for next yr.
