thats what i planned on doing at the track and once in a while 20 psi… daily is gonna be about 18 psi which is about ~320whp give or take… thats what Val put down at 18 psi on the GT3076R
finally someone who can drive, (just playin everyone) nice 60’s, what did you put down again? I wouldnt think your trap would be a little higher than that, maybe because of the motor mounts?
305whp 405wtq on Moon Performance’s Mustang Dyno. Car made 230 whp 235 wtq stock on the same dyno and ran 13.3 @ 102.
Motor mounts breaking caused HEAVY vibration at speed on the track…obviously w/ the motor moving all around, shocking the tranny, and making the car feel like I was getting hit with hammers in the drivers seat. It was THAT violent. I would have to imagine with that much noise in the driveline the car could have pulled timing due to a “false knock” at the very least, or the driveline suffered a lot with the severe vibration. Can’t say for sure, won’t know til the new mounts (just ordered STI Group N motor mounts, tranny mount, and pitch mount) and as they’re coming from Cali will prolly not be til Wed after next before I can get back tot he track.
Happy w/ the time regardless…pretty stout for some basic bolt ons + water injection on an STI. Currently 14th fastest time recorded in the country on the stock turbo :banana
We’ll see how she shakes out w/ the new mounts. Hoping to trap 111 and get around 12.4
soon i will be running meth injection . i need to keep the motor cooler and i have to put my intercooler on . i was thinking about removing left head light and run the intake out of it . right now i have a p-flow intake ok in the winter but in the summer its very hot .
you dont need to run race gas at those boost levels, especially if you are on a 93 map, you cant burn the fuel fast enough, the timing is pretty retarded on the apr software comparative to other k03 maps.
did you catch the black 20th? he was chipped, intake, exhaust running 98-99 traps… on pump thats pretty good for just basic bolt ons… i just don’t know what chip he had though… i’m gonna say giac x+ just a shot in the dark… did you talk to him brett or jeremy?
no i dont have the 100 octane program i have 94octane program. what was up with ur car ? it looked like it launched like a stock 1.8t then at about the 1/8th mile it took off . it looked and sounded really good at the 1/8th mile are u still geting use to it or is it too big of a turbo for the 1.8L ?
nope, he seemed like kind of a wrench, i tried to talk to him, but he ignored me, then i said he would probably run faster than my big turbo car… his buddy was cool though.
well i broke my tranny on my last run, it just doesnt hook up on street tires at the track… on the street its not bad… im only running 15psi, stock SMIC… but i got a 14.0@105 out of it. the trap speed is consistant at 15psi. 104-105 everytime… turbo is good, just needs more boost and slicks… i even have a peloquin in it.
