Mac Nerds unite - Outlook freezing issue

Hello all,

My mac outlook has started freezing intermittently over the past week. The computer has ran flawlessly to this point, and this is really screwing up my production. It will freeze up for about 15 seconds every 3-4 minutes while writing emails. I ran MacKeeper and did all that good stuff. We recently got our company email addresses hosting switched to a new company; not sure if that’s correlated or not.

Anyways, this is what popped up on my console with the most recent freeze up:

5/24/13 10:57:11.857 AM com.apple.mdworker.i386.0: objc[658]: Class NLAssertionHandler is implemented in both /Library/Spotlight/Microsoft Office.mdimporter/Contents/MacOS/…/Frameworks/MetroFramework.framework/Versions/12/MetroFramework and /Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/Microsoft Outlook.app/Contents/Library/Spotlight/Microsoft Outlook.mdimporter/Contents/MacOS/…/…/…/…/…/…/…/Office/mbuinstrument.framework/Versions/14/mbuinstrument. One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Bill

Rebuild Main identify?

Not sure what that means for sure. Doing some quick research, someone suggested making a “new identity”… I tried making a new identity, but wasn’t sure how to drag all my emails, settings, and connection information over… Not super computer savvy, only know the basics.

I’m telling you to find that program in that path and run it

So double click your mouse on the Mac HD -> Applications Folder -> Microsoft Office 2011 -> Office -> Microsoft Database Utility

Then click the rebuild button

Gotcha. Running it now, thanks.

Also are you up to the latest version of office? All updates done?

Don’t know if it will fix your issue but its simple and doesn’t break stuff and it clears up a lot of outlook issues.
