Macbook Pro 15", 2 batteries, 2 chargers

Hey guys,

I figured I’d see if anyone local wants this before I put it up on eBay. Specs:

  • Macbook Pro, 15"
  • 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo
  • Upgraded to 4 GB of RAM, still have original 2 GB if you want them as well
  • 200 GB 5400 RPM HDD
  • 2 batteries: 1 gets ~3.5 hours, 1 gets ~1.5 hours
  • 2 chargers
  • Original box (not in pictures, but I have it)

I bought this summer of 2008 for school. It didn’t leave my side for about 2.5 years. It’s in good shape but shows wear as I’m a CS major and I’m on my computer a lot. I did my best to show the wear in pictures: the latch is missing a good deal of paint, and there are a couple scratches on the back.

The screen was replaced at UBMicro because the people at Apple were being dicks about what was clearly a defective screen. The new one has 1-2 “stuck” (not dead) pixels. I haven’t tried fixing them because I don’t care, but you certainly may be able to. They’re not distracting, I actually just noticed them when I was looking the machine over.

Will come with the original box, 2 batteries, 2 chargers, a fresh install of Snow Leopard, and all disks that I have for it which include the restore disk (Leopard), application disk (GarageBand, iPhoto, etc.) and Snow Leopard disk.

I’m pricing this based on what the laptop has gone for on eBay and the fact that it has some extras included, so I’m asking 800 OBO. If you have an offer to make, the worst I can say is no - so don’t hesitate!

I may also be in the market for an entry-level DSLR, so if you’re looking to get rid of one we may be able to work out a deal. Let me know!

Looks clean and to be in great shape. One pricing issue may be the 2nd battery (not very high demand) so it may be tough to charge for it.
The 2nd ac while I would think it to be a great add on, others not so much in my experience.

Mine with the same specs but 1 battery and a 160gb drive I let go for $600 several months ago. I kept the 2nd ac adapter as he didn’t want to pay for it and I wasn’t giving it away.

These machines are AWESOME…somebody should snag this up. :slight_smile:

TradersBase: thanks for the input! Yeah, the extra power stuff is tough to sell to folks more normal than myself :). Apple accessories are pretty damn expensive though, and I personally like having multiple batteries and AC adapters, as it makes my life easier.

This has been a great machine for me - I’ve done everything from coding to web development to playing HL2 in boot camp, and I’m only selling because I want to upgrade to a newer chipset.
