Did any of you every do one?if so let me know i have some quick questions. thanks!
judging by your profile here, I’m guessing you’re talking about an 87 mustang…
in which case, stock, your car should be speed density.
So, what exactly are you talking about? So you can get some better answers.
ok i have a 87 mustang 5.0 it was converted to maf by the previous owner. Its all hacked and wired wrong so i would like to swap it over to carb and i had some questions about doing that.
Wanted to make sure, cause your username says camaro, but you profile says mustang.
PM BDR5OH, he throws carbs on 5.0s likes it going out of style.
It’s pretty straight forward.
Intake manifold, carb, air cleaner.
Cut out ~40 lbs of wiring.
While there is nothing wrong really with a carb setup, what is preventing this setup from being fixed?
That said it would seem like a straight forward affair as far as the swap is concerned.
hes had nothing but issues with it, they got it runnign somewat but it runs super rich and like crap and none of us really know about that type of injection enough to tell what all was done and what needs to be done to get it runnign right, if anyone here feels they can get it running, im sure ron(86maro) would gladly throw you some $ for the help
It is? I think that depends on your goals and intentions with the car. i’ve had both EFI motors and Carb motors in my car, I can’t say one was better than the other. There are adantages and disadvantages to everything…
