Make NYSpeed Great again - Who's here and what are you up too?

I dig the stepside!

Sorry…

There ya go!

pics or it didnt happen

@Xander I want that step side

Guess it didnt happen then.

I’ve barely been on here at all since the site had the security issues on my work network.

That said, I have a 2002 turbo camaro that I need to dump off, a 1998 viper gts, and a 17 silverado. Work has been killing me since August, but once things return to normal, I really want to find a C10 or S10 to turbo ls swap and daily drive.

Same deal. Haven’t been on much since the security issue but it seems to be fixed now. Like many others I am spending most of my money and time on the house now. Driving a 16’ WRX with a few bolt ons year round and my 99’ civic about 250 miles a year. No one will buy it. I think some new fun things should be coming this spring though. Fingers crossed.

Besides getting the garage insulated and ‘walled’ I bought a $200 barn find arctic cat snowmobile. It’'s from the 70’s but the last digit is worn off and I didn’t get any paperwork with it. Hopefully I can find a way to get it on the road. I cleaned the carb and it runs MINT. Going to put an upper steering column from a newer sled and raise the bars a bit tonight. Next summer I want to put a Rev tunnel and rear suspension on it.

edit, ugh wtf. why is uploading pictures and having them show such a pain? If only I could direct link reliably from google photos but that’s as much as a pain.

I still lurk from time to time. I sold my Audi when I moved to NYC back in 2013 and now I have a pos BMW X3. I’ve pretty much got completely out of the car scene and reverted back into motorcycles. Currently riding a Ducati Streetfight but looking to dump that in spring and pick up a track bike or an Aprillia RSV4.

'16 X3. needed something with enough room for the dogs and to make the occasional run to home depot.

Traded in my 1LE Camaro :

For some rare Z/28 Hotness!

427 dry sump beast!

Only got to drive it home from the dealer so not much of a driving impression. But I can tell it’s a more intense car. The LS7 is a bit louder than the LS3 combined with virtually zero sound deadening makes it seem way throatier inside the cockpit. Seats are magnificent Recaro’s, and the suspension has the spool valve shocks made by Multimatic in Canada. I’ve watched all of the engineering videos online. The company worked side by side with the Z/28 team to develop the perfect shocks for it. They would send the force vector they wanted to Multimatic and the engineers would go into their workshop and build a new valve in under an hour. Take it right back out on the track and see how the new parts do! As soon as we get a big rain to clean all of the salt out, I’ll get some better feedback.

Nice, congrats on the new ride. When they first started talking about this car I thought it would immediately be a car that was going to end up in collectors hands/private car collections and I would hardly ever see one. Always liked these

This sort of fell in my lap. I wasn’t really looking for one. They only made them in 5 colors and I hate 3 of the colors lol. Popped up locally, the price was decent, and they gave me a good deal on my trade. From doing research on them 1/3 went to collectors, and you’ll never see them, 1/3 went to hardcore racers and they drive them like they stole them, and the last 1/3 went to wealthy guys with more money than brains. I’m pretty sure mine was in the latter 3rd, lol. They bought them, and drove them on the street for a summer. Realized how bad they are to street drive with stiff suspension, no nav, no bells/whistles, etc. So they dump them off for a Corvette and something. They pop up all over the country for lows of $35k with a lot of miles, to $55k with super low miles. Mine was $46k.

that is a shit-ton of car for that money.

i drove a ZL1 for a few weeks a couple years back. it’s not for me but i totally get it. fortunately i only got one speeding ticket in it. there could have been many more.
