A 26-year-old man who went missing from Thursday night’s Buffalo Bills game has been found dead near the stadium, authorities said.

The man was found face down in Smoke’s Creek near Shadow Lane.

Channel 4 reported that the man had been ejected from the Bills-Dolphins game, but that could not be confirmed.

The Erie County Sheriff’s helicopter was called in at 5:25 a.m. today to assist in the search for the missing man, authorities said.

Air One’s services were called off at about 7:20 a.m.

So they made it sound like he was drunk (Not doubting that) Why is it that drunks get kicked out of the game for being too drunk, but yet they dont get turned over to the police for public intoxication? Instead they put these people back on the street to either pass out unattended (could be 15 degrees out and sitting in the cold by themselves passed out for over an hour) Or maybe they have no one to convince them/stop them from getting into a car and driving drunk.

I’m all for people having fun and drinking at the game, but some people have no self control at all.

RIP to this guy and my thoughts go out to his family.

Just about to post this…very sad…what a shitty way to go out…

Based on the asshattery at Bills games, I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more often.

My guess is this up in a big lawsuit against the stadium. While I personally don’t agree with it, legally a lawyer will try to make a case that security has some responsibly when they eject someone on a 30 degree night who’s so intoxicated that they end up face down in the nearest creek.

I have parked where you have to get across that creek, it is real challenge for old people and probably intoxicated people as well.

If the stadium were downtown…

While you’re probably right, security shouldn’t be in charge of babysitting people who have too much to drink.

Sad.

Darwin wins.

Like I said, personally I don’t agree with it all. Just saying from a legal perspective if I was Ralph I’d be finding out which security guards were involved and get some lawyers over to their house RIGHT NOW.

Wait you don’t want the $10 an hour security guards making statements to the cops and news

Im curious what Freak or any bartenders know about the laws associate with ejecting drunk people from an establishment.

Like I stated above, I’m really surprised that when people get kicked out, its not into the arms of the police. It would take away any sort of legal problem that can arise for them.

You realize that hundreds of people get ejected every game? What police force could possibly take this task on?

There would be a whole lake full of corpses in blue jerseys?

Police van/bus sits there for the game… load them up like they were rioters lol. Look at it as a money making situation. Each person ends up getting public intoxication ticket which turns into money.

Edit: What about some sort of on site drunk tank. Let them sober up in there but still get a fine for being placed in there and having to need a babysitter for them.

That is why I left it with the dot dot dot fill in the blank.

with cops being on overtime for games and the entire legal process it probably doesn’t end up as a money maker.

Then you’d have people complaining about unlawful detention. There’s no law against public intoxication in NY. Just disorderly conduct.

Well that would constitute as disorderly, otherwise they wouldnt be kicked out.

Edit: and you could put small print on tickets for taking care of the Unlawful detention. If you get put on the bus, you may have to wait till the end of the game. either that or you have the bus make trips. Holding area for those getting thrown out when the bus isnt there, load them when it is.

You can be ejected from a game just for being visibly intoxicated, it doesn’t have to rise to and incident of disorderly conduct for you to be ejected from a game.
