Anyone interested in a day of learning how to do bodywork and paint work?
I’ll show the basics of basic HOME body repair and Paint work.
just checking interest for right now but if I get 10 guys for this weekend its on… just buy the stuff needed
and bring yerself to OSHAWA and get some pointers to make shitty look decent!!
crappy tire stuff is usually good enough unless your interested in something special…

Yea im in. That wold be awesome. I will come and take some tips but my car is in the shop now getting some major modifications to the body and interior. I would like to know how to put wide body fender on and do some bondo.
the following can easily be included in a (just under) 1/2 day.
these are beyond the basic skills that will be shown aslong with tips for good home done work…
sanding, blending, fading, painting, cleaning(prep), buffing, polishing.
bondo (how to cheese)
dent repair (minor…easy stuff)
prepping for paint
tape-ing (masking)
sanding and wet sanding
primer…(never work without it)
repairing chips large (slightly different technique)
Aluminum refinishing (slightly diff materials)
plastics painting (additional stuff needed)
blending of paint colours
buffing (removal of scratches and blending clears)
minor/medial scratch repair, (ever get keyed??)
ALL of these in 1 would be a full day AT LEAST!! so ask and ye shall receive…I’ll do the prep for all and the special stuff for those who want it
you’ll need at least a sanding block and 120 + 220 + 400 + 600 grit sand paper (2 sheets for small jobs like repainting a fender)
Bondo practice will require a small can of bondo and the tiny hardner tube you get with it…also more sand paper.
filler primer is a good bet for most people 1 can is good for like 2 guys
THIS WILL BE ONLY A SCHOOLING FOR THE BASIC WORK SKILLS
AND A FEW MINUTES TO GUARANTEE YOU UNDERSTAND…
its all really quite easy just practice improves and knowing some of the tips and tricks for a good final result…practice does make perfect…but being close the first time IS NOT HARD…just time consuming…
bring a rust fender or an old grill etc to practice on…I have a few items here to show and demo with.

Where is this thing going to go down at and is there a time settled yet? I can bring my rusted front fenders to work on, but i dont know what i need. I guess thats why i wanna come, to learn. Oh and about the loud music part, I have that covered with my golf :)!!!
Where in Oshawa are you? I’m in Ajax, but my 240 isn’t ready yet. I’m still willing to come by and get some pointers on body work (my 240 is in dire need of it).

Motomaster Filler Primer (gray most often best but red is fine too)($9.00)
Motomaster 120 & 240 & 400 grit waterproof sand paper (multipack is usually enough to learn on… OTHERWISE 2+ SHEETS OF EACH)
Duplicolour or Motomaster paints
-whatever colour you need or like. 1 large can ($9.00)
-Clear Coat. 1 large can ($9.00)
for doing any Aluminum work!!!
Get the SILICON CARBIDE wetsanding paper!!!
(CAN BE FOUND IN THE HARDWARE SECTION WITH WIRE WHEELS ETC)
as the regular wetsanding paper is aluminum oxide (aluminum rust)…not a good idea to be rubbing on your aluminum rims
