Just to add a little something about this, there was a full hour long news report that was done on dateline a couple weeks ago, which contained more information than the video that howie posted
They said in the McD’s handbook that a specific section has been highlighted and bolded regarding stripsearches. Paraphrased it basically states that stripsearches are to never happen in the building, regardless of who is the one attempting to preform it.
that being said McD’s could state that the victim should have known it was something she could have declined. granted, when you are 16-17 you are very impressionable and easily influenced by authority

She may still have a case against McDonald’s… a manager is a direct representative of the corporation. thus making the corporation at fault. people win cases for stupider crap than that. a corporation is an “entity”, and as such – actions taken by representatives of that entity constitute a responsibility (or liability in this case) of the corporation.
this young girl will surely bring suit against the corporation seeking punitive damages. i’ll honestly be very surprised if she’s not (a) awarded them or (b) offered a large monetary settlement before the case even makes it to trial.
this isn’t an alleged incident, it’s purely factual. there’s a video tape to serve as evidence.
