Megan Racing - Real Customer Service

So my friend goes and buys some megan underdrive pullies, coilovers, and some misc exhaust parts for his sr20. He then sends an email to Megan Racing Customer Service with a question:

Customer:
“Hello, I bought a set of your pulleys for an SR20DET and was wondering if I had to
get different sized belts for them or are the factory ones okay?
Thank You:”

Megan:
“Thank you for your interest in the megan racing products.
Our Customer Service Department will confirm your request within 24 hours.”

Megan: (later)
“Hi, Please try the factory belts to see if they fit, if not, then you have to
get a after-market belt.Thanks”

HAHA, what a bunch of tools. What kind of technical response is that? Now my buddy is worried what will happen if he ever has questions about his coilovers. They can’t even use proper grammar lol.

Just a heads up to anyone that is thinking about contacting Megan about one of their products…prepare to be dumbfounded.

u will probably need a shorter belt for the under drive pulley. As for the Megan Coils, i’ve read good reviews on them. The one thing is they only have 8kg/mm fonts and 6kg/mm rears. I am not sure if they are gunna sell different rate springs later on.

Yes, i hear that you do need smaller belts. Also, if you got the old style redtop pulley’s, then you need to look out for the power steering pulley, as it may not fit properly. I beleive you have to reverse it to mount in the same posiition as the stock pulley. Check it out a little closer.

The springs used on most coilovers can easily be bought through many sources at reasonable prices. It reminds me of my bad experiences with Don at PDM over the phone.

Yeah I have had troubles with them through autodream. They said they had stock on their adjustable fuel pressure regulators and so I ordered one. It has since been 3 months and nothing. They keep saying it is on the way but it has yet to make it to my hand.

When I ordered my AGX I had a similar problem, what does on the way mean anyhow? after 3 months, c’mon.

You’d think that they’d have some sort of disclaimer or deatailed instructions on how to install, and all the parts needed. Thanks for that info though, I’ll let him know to look out for that.

Anytime. It all depends on which manufacturing line he ended up getting. Because they claim that some don’t fit and need to be drilled out to fit the redtop. I just reversed it on the Powersteering pump and it worked fine. I haven’t tried the belts yet though.

yeah pdm-racing has some bad customer service. it took them 9 weeks to get me a spoiler that they said they had in stock. i live in sask not china, they are in vancouver, how hard is it to get something through 2 provinces. also importadrenelin.com in calgary has bad customer service as well , they took 10 weeks to get me a front bumper that i ordered. seems to me that ebay ppl send stuff quicker.

I sell under unique_findz

Its not that bad i just received my KYB AGX shock or they were suposto be AGX. I received GR-2’s but they are sending me AGX’s ASAP. Oh and this was thru ebay so i guess everyone has their problems
