you may be interested in the quick releases. The bumper has no “hidden” fasteners. it has 6 quarter turn dzus fasteners. 2 on each flare to the bumper and two on the radiator support.
This one goes through the flare, bumper, and finally the aluminum plate that is bolted to the stock fender and inner fender bracket.
Thanks adam. I’m having a tough time getting into the labs (last week, exam week next week) Hopefully I can sneak into one very soon though. I am eager to get that piece of the puzzle in there.
I’ll have to see when I get it going and when I find myself back in the capital district with it. Unfortunately the combination of both those things happening anytime soon is very slim.
I got the other side on last week and I should be picking up a welder to tack the back quarters together tonight:
its should be, but the welding is NOT going well. I can’t get the damn welds right, either they burn right through or sit on top, when I finally lay a decent bead it caves in on itself and craters up.
OJ (Wizard13) gave me some suggestions and hopefully thinner wire and different stuff to clean up the metal will allow me to fix it back up.
