We recently swapped in these MIL.SPEC seals replacing the leaky, OEM seals on an Evo VIII.
We did a pull on the dyno with the OEM seals, then put in the new seals and picked up 20 whp and 20 ft lbs!!!

I was astounded by those numbers, so I wanted to share with you Evo owners that we have a bunch of these here in stock.
$22 for 20hp and an hour worth of work… Not a bad deal.

So you found the exact same seal used in military applications? or you got a seal made and are claiming its mil spec because of materials involved?
Looks to be a misleading brand name.

I did these on my evo after performing a boost leak test, Funny how such a little part can leak soo much.
That is actually the name. Quick search on evom and you’d find it. Pretty sure emery doesn’t make these. Good product none the less.

they aren’t to blame. MIL SPEC is a designation giving something built to military specifications, that “product name” was meant to imply/deceive.

i currently have no wheels on my car and they are getting powdercoated tomorrow
unless i can switch some things around and the car isnt on the road yet so id have to trailer it

What’s up with you dude? STM is not the only place that sells these “mil-spec” throttle body seals. It’s also not the only “mil-spec” product advertised on EvoM for that matter. Once again it’s probably a marketing gimmick. Someone obviously has a hard on for emery and the STM crew…
