that’s my viewpoint. after watching drury walk last summer, i have determined that i cannot predict the actions of quinn/regier.
then again, i have been telling everyone who would listen that they should have offered briere and drury identical 5yr/25mill contracts as of January 1, 2007 (when they could negotiate with briere, since he was awarded the 4mill arbitration award the previous summer).
again, i am done predicting. we are now in the unfortunate position that we are almost required to overpay for an above averge (note, NOT excellent or elite) goaltender. in a perfect world, i would say trade him while his value is high (relatively low contract dollars and young), but it isnt that simple. the lack of a decent second option owns us.
