My 5 year old KDS 19" spherical tube monitor finally bit the dust. Started not displaying screen correctly, then after banging on the side of it (fonzey-style) it would come back into proper dimensions…but tonight it finally shit the bed after a swift rap on the side. Knew that was comin’!
So, I’m in the market for a new monitor. I’d prefer a really good LCD monitor with at least 12 ms response and a really good contrast ratio. Any recommendations from those that have LCD of at least 19" dimensions?
I think the Dell LCD’s are pretty bad ass, at home i have a 20.1" Viewsonic. Awesome monitor, but quite pricey.
this is what I have at work:
here is what i have at home:
this is about a year old now… man was it expensive
i heard Jim Beam cures all monitor problems :dunno:
:dunno: Percussive adjustment worked for a while!
Yeah, the Dell’s are nice. I have the 21" Dell LCD at work, it’s real sweet. Thanks for the link, that 19" LCD has pretty good uumph for less than $300!
Image Brightness: 300 cd/m² (typical)
Image Contrast Ratio: 700:1
Max Resolution: 1280x1024 Pixels at 75 Hz
Response Time: 8 ms
the refresh rate on LCD’s suck, so if you do any gaming or high end graphics… not the way to go… if its jsut general PC use then get one. But if i were you I’d for for a 19" flat screen from NEC jmo
