you know travis, i was thinking about this. on s10 forum theres guys that run these with body drops and big wheels, however one guy it still didnt clear, and he mounted the master cylinder parallel with the firewall inside the truck. theres pictures somewhere on there, it was atleast a year or two back but im sure theyre on there. he used a linkage setup to get it to work properly. just a thought. other then that though, i dont have a clue if itll work upside down. maybe check in on some of the hotrod sites. maybe hotrodders.com or something.
ok dude, i found the pics of how the guy mounted his, i imagine youll have plenty of room to do it and could get access through the top vent hole or something o check fluid. in this truck the clutch master cyl for the truck was also recessed and accessed through the wiper cowl. heres the pics, hope it helps with some idea. you could also mount it up higher possibly ? i dont know, just a thought. this is while he was still fabbing it up but he said it worked out great.
thats pretty bad ass, but remember I am putting the full 98 interior in… I am definitely going to set the booster at an angle and recess it into the fire wall though
And I never have any intentions for air suspension or big wheels so it wont become a problem down the road, well for me atleast. who knows what happens when I sell it eventually.
right now I am working on switching over all the bracing and stuff for the new dash/steering column. no welding steering columns together for me, lol.
yea I have been holding off on the build thread. I can only work on weekends so I usualy dont get much accomplished. lol. plus its garbage compared to your build thread, i am more concerned with getting it in and running. I can re-do it again nice. I guess this is just a mock up. yea, thats a good way to think of it. haha
maybe this week…
I kept wondering why you never asked what vehcile i was working with in the shifter thread. and btw, I am pretty sure I need to move the fulcrum UP a few inches. but that has been moved down on the list…
and its not that rusty compared to other trucks of its age. hell the 98 donor truck is totally rotted out.
And the problem with the booster I have is the little gold pressure unit thing, if I have it right side up it will have to be moved about 4 inches over to clear the DP.
