anyone have this movie its japanese anime from 1988 ???
surprisingly i do… stole it from a friend back in the day… to bad i am in Charlotte
I have some scenes from it that are remixed to a song, its pretty bad ass.
I have DVD and VHS copies. AMAZING movie…way more than meets the eye. I would rank it up there with Ghost in the Shell series, and Princess Mononoke.
I would never part with them though esp. as the DVD is an ultra rare edition(brushed metal case and extra disc)
Edit: Sound track is great too.
have someone toss a divx, on a disc for ya… or just DL it off of a torrent, or what not

Not too bad. Ninja Scroll blows it out of the water IMHO>.

you do have to understand Akira, paved the way for many films such as Ninja Scroll
and in 1988 it was well ahead of its time

Download and install.
then download. http://isohunt.com/download/14389591/akira that file and open with the utorrent which you just installed. then sit and wait til its done.
or just ask someone to put it on a disc for you.
Or even going to a public library you can probably get it for free, obviously borrowing…
mods feel free to edit info above. if its beyond what you feel should be in here…
Akira is pretty much “the” anime. I don’t think it’s missing from any serious fan’s library.
That scene with the tank shell stopping - still bad-ass
i have it on VHS. it’s in great condition, and i’ll sell it for $100
it’s great for how old it is. there have been better movies and series since then, but 1988 makes it revolutionary

I know. I just liked Ninja Scroll more. Don’t get me wrong, Akira is still totally badass.
