Mozilla Thunderbird Users - Question

I need to reformat my HD and I was wondering if there was a way to ‘pack up’ and export my email settings to make it easier when I reinstall the program. I manage 5 different email accounts so it would save me a lot of time!

I’ve searched Google and came up with a few spotty suggestions but nothing concrete. Anyone know? :gotme:

Thanks!

Vista or XP?

XP

I’m pretty sure in the %AppData%/Mozilla folder is all your settings/profiles. If you back this up it will probably be able to be restored. Check out the Thunderbird help section or forums or FAQ and look for backing up profiles. Should be able to find something.

Cool man, thanks! I’ll give that a shot.

I was just looking at something similar for Firefox becuase I hate reinstalling and losing all my favorites and add-ons etc.

C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Local Settings\Application Data\mozilla hunderbird
then copy the tuderbird folder saves all your settings
remember to enable hidden folders these folders are hidden thats why there hard to find.
