yeah that sounds right.
It’s not because of heat soak…the spacer increases your runner length…creating velocity…which equals more airflow…it also creates a smoother transition from throttle body to intake manifold…straighter run…again equals more power. The air coming in your motor isn’t that hot. Were not talking kelvin here…This isn’t open for discussion either you either understand how a motor works or you don’t. You wan’t to talk about intake temps affected power output? Lets start a new thread…humidity robs you of power not heat…unless it’s temp increases of 100 degrees or more than thats a significant temp change.
Looks like i ruffled some feathers…
:+1
Can I feel the butt dyno difference?
.
Depends on how well calibrated it is…
Can I megasquirt it…please!!!
Tricia def wants a megasquirt.
lol you basically re-phrased me.
It’s a very similar principle as to why your car is more peppy when it’s 32* outside as opposed to 92* outside. You could have 20% humidity both days and I’m pretty sure your car will run much better on the colder day in terms of throttle response, etc. Unless it’s just Maxima’s…which I doubt lol.
Lower temps = better car performance. I’m sure humidity plays a role, but so does overall air temp.
Well thats too bad…JJB’s…for the money there great.
jjb?
All cars run better when the air is denser....what i'm saying is the t.b. spacer isn't giving you that drastic a drop in temp and that it's the increased runner length increasing your power and throttle response.
Just joking bitches…???
Haha, got it. Not up to par with the interwebz lingo I guess. On a side note, usually longer runners will increase torque but not help HP.
Fluid dynamics…FTW
You can megasquirt the 240… I’m gonna need some assistance with that one.
Who? me?
Hell yes. I am in!
a TB spacer wont do anything for heat. a phenolic gasket will. and they are layered between 2 normal gaskets where the manifold meets the head
Also remember were not just talking about the TB Spacer… The TB Spacer heatwise isnt much…
But a Intake Plenum spacer drasticly redueces temps on a car…
