This is a joint effort between me and a friend of mine. Its my 85 Regal. I formerly ran a Buick 350 with a cam. It’s best was low 14s. I killed that engine in Oct 05, and Its sat ever since. My friend had a SBC 383 without a home, so we’ve joined forces to try and get some racing in the rest of this summer and fall.
We are still fighting some gremlins, including a bum shifter, but we hope to be functional this weekend.
Besides the 383, it has a Super T-10 trans, and a 8.5 rear with 3.90s.
We’d like to see high twelves, but that might be stretching it this year. My El cheapo headers and cherry bombs seem to be restricting it some. Plus we need to switch to a solid cam and maybe a real carb.
But, it only temporary till spring when his car should be done and the engine will hafta go.
