new from central PA

Lived in the burg for years. Moved to Penn State in 04. Never heard about Pittspeed until last week. Looks like a great site. Most of wife family and lots of friends still live in the burg. We visit often. I like the cruises in the burg much better than central PA.

Current fun ride is a 99 Buick Regal. It has the factory N/A 3800 V6 and we placed a t-62 on it. Lots of custom piping. We keep boost around 14 psi. After 135k miles on the factory motor it is getting tired. This week we are replacing it with an engine that is a little more capable for boost.

Welcome  Pics of the Regal?

Welcome

I don’t have a lot of pics but I found a few. How do I get it from the uploader into the post. Let me go back and see if there is a sticky.

Hmmm, How do I get to the pics. and albums link in my UCP in order to move pics from the uploader into my pics. and albums? I do not see the link in my UCP. I am not well trained at this.

Thanks. Worked that time. Did not the first time.? My engine pic went somewhere.

(tried to upload engine pic again and it says file already exists in destination folder. do I find that destination in my UCP?)

nice pic man. i wanna go centrifugal eventually

who built your tranny? I’ve gotta add some gears and input shaft to my spare

Welcome to Pittspeed. :bigok:

glad you like the pic because I never thought the outside of my car looked good. Not even sure I like the bronze rota’s but they weigh 13.8-14 lbs each and the price was good so I scooped them up.

ZZP built my tranny. Very satisfied with their work. I have also heard good things about triple edge performance transmissions. I understand their prices are better and they do an excellent job. I have all the 4340 pieces but only the 7/8 chain.

If you are N/A (GT versus GTP) then I think you have to upgrade to a HD diff. and transaxle to change gears. Something about a step down after the sun gear giving the N/A tranny 3:05 gearing. Can’t remember,…too old.
