Your RX7 is one of the only builds on here that makes me want to take on a project car. Every other logical bone in my body says go by a track prepped well sorted older 3 series with a bunch of spares and beat the shit out of it instead.
The level of skill and time involved in a rx7 swap is nowhere near what like these other guys are doing to be fair.
EXACTLY!!! Those other projects are just too much work.
Glad everyone is on the same page
lol
The end of the road, figured it needed a proper off
Now to start looking for another project
FUCK THAT!!!
<3
that douche bag FINALLY came to get that fucking thing? considering it’s almost been 6 months without contact I’d say it was good and abandoned… should have charged his lazy ass storage.
I have an empty garage, I don’t care. I went in the garage and gave it a jerk
Well, I’m about to have an empty garage, but it’s likely to have everyone else’s shit in it pretty soon, LOL! know the feeling?
I am kind of let down that you did not finish this… but I understand. Car looks clean BTW and those wheels look good too.
Yeah, drove down to VA for it, car arrives on a trailor, leaves on a trailor, with a huge FAIL in the middle.
I told the guy that I was in a better state of mind and that I was going to just mail back the Bank of America certified check and re paypal him the $500 deposit, keep the car, and throw a standalone set up on it. He then says how he has since had a cage made for the car, bought a VEMS set up for it, 5 lug swap parts, etc etc. We were on the phone for about 30 minutes and he simply wore me down, I said “Scott, wow, you have worn me down sir.” “You obviously want this WAY more then me, come and get it.” He was 20 minutes away, drove all the way from Chicago without knowing if I was going to be home, if the car was at my address, etc etc. That takes balls. He was a cool dude, and in the end I did agreee to sell it to him a few months ago, and I thought how pissed I’d be if I was in his situation, so off it went. I do feel a bit like a wanker for not seeing it though, and if it is something simple, I will kill myself. But, now I have an open garage, and money to get the Ur-Q re-sprayed with, so it’s not all bad. Or I have my eye on another 4kq, white with red leather in MO that, as us scum bag used car dealers say, “it’s in the wrapper.”
What is even funnier is that both my 4kq’s that I sold have gone on to much bigger and better things. The red one I sold Whalen is now a VR6T 4000Q, and this one is going to get prepped as a track car and also be used for winter driving events.
Lets do up the coupe. Forget buying another car.
