There is a member on here who had a twin of your car on E46 M3 wheels which fit without a problem and the car looked fantastic.
Also he had his front license plate holder taken off and sprayed white, which made a huge difference for the general look of the car. Not bad for ~5$ mod.

Get the BMW Performance black grills to offset the shadowline trim. They would give your car a more aggressive look. They are shaped slightly different than your stock E90 grills.
My friend I mentioned is actually sellig his E46 wheels.
