The RHD will be gone but The 2 LHD will be my gas saver project the white LHD has a VX Motor with 5spd averaging about 52mpg highway. the CX is about 43mpg. the RHD is not too bad 35mpg.

Hey SilverGT. I realize you have probably already posted most of the specs regarding your ultra gas saving 52mpg civic, however I was wondering if it was more than just a wimpy engine in that chassis?
For example, did you gut it entirely? Did you chip the ECU and tune it for MPG? Did you do any aero to it? Also, what do VX engines run? Regrettably my 95 EX has the most potent of all the D-series, and as a result it isn’t the absolute greatest on gas ( only 30-35ish )

Well, to be fair I estimated on the low side since my speedo doesn’t work and I can’t get accurate mileage estimates :lol:
It could be 40 or so, but I couldn’t justify it if I needed to.
I do stay out of vtec, but sometimes I need to lay the hurt down on grandma’s grocery getter,who is clogging up the passing lane!

Yeah probably. Honestly once the autocross season is over I’m going to be pulling out all the extra interior weight I can just to increase my MPGs. My A/C doesn’t work, so that will likely come out too, haha.
I wish a VX engine was free, I just can’t justify dumping money into an engine that’s supposed to save me money. I realize that I could do some arithmetic and come up with some figure: “9 months @ 1000miles / 50mpg x $4.15/g” or whatever, but I feel better estimating. 
vtec is the gay
and taking out your interior saces you like 20lbs… its not really worth it you will get 1 extra mile per tank

Saw that RHD on sheridan a while back and I had to do a double take i thought i was seeing things. Nice collection. I still want to do a K20 insight for a DD. High 12s low 13s and 40+ mpg. :tup:

Hey sureshot, its in the way you drive it. Be easy on acceleration and accelerate downhill and easy on acceleration on hills. My VX is all stock same with the CX they both come with AC so that with the AC running. I could be pushin close to 60mpg on the vx hopefully by the end of the summer. Rear skirts and front bumper aero modds and illl log the data.
Personally, I love people who drive around without the A/C on to save $1 in gas.
