The property is laid out nicely with pines, maples and other trees of varying ages. Lots of grass, lots of field and some hardwoods. Large driveway and parking area. Wonderful neighbors, neighborhood and schools.
With the weather like it has been (winter and all) some of these pics are older, but accurately reflect the condition of the house and property (except the new windows/doors on the exterior photos and the small tree in front of the house.) Please excuse some of the mess, the house is ready to show. I just snapped these quick for someone who was interested.
Haha. Thanks guys. I love this livingroom. We host a lot so having furniture to for everyone was important. Having a tv everyone can see and sound everyone can hear was also important. The livingroom is large. Don’t let all of the oversized furniture fool you. lol
The house and property have been perfect. I’d do it again given the chance. The problem is my wife. lol. She doesn’t like the drive to kenmore. Her parents are in cheektowaga and they are going to be babysitters so we need to prepare for that. I just looked at a house in kenmore. She is thinking lancaster. I dunno. Not a lot of nice houses out there and even less with any property or a nice neighborhood or a good school. It is going to be impossible to replace so we will end up settling on something.
lol. The goop. That’s dollar store orange clean. Thanks for the compliments guys. BTW- town of newstead not the village. Water and electric are still silly cheap. Gas too. It’s like a hundred bucks to keep the house at 72
Where do you work? I can tell you exactly how long it will actually get there. There are ways GPS takes people that just makes absolutely no sense. Can’t guarantee I’ll knock 20 minutes off, but if it is over an hour I might get you back 10 minutes.
I have a bunch of random “home owner” stuff in the barn/shed I’ll be putting up FS shortly. Giving friends/family dibs on it, then to the wolves (NYSpeed)
I am still looking for a house in Amherst/Getzville/East Amherst/Williamsville/Snyder if you know of anything that hasn’t hit my radar yet. This is highly unlikely, but it is worth a try.
I found some ideal houses in Lancaster but it is still a 30 minute drive to work, trying to reduce my $800/mo fuel bill. OTOH … I’m not living south of Main Rd, east of Transit, north of Amherst or west of the Blvd if I can avoid it. Schools play a role.
My drive to 480 Crosspoint has to be =< 20 minutes.
Price 100k > 230k … If it has potential and some necessities, 100k with 50k remodeling might suit my needs. 210k+ better have everything I want in spades. (1600+ sq ft, updates galore, 2 car attached, in-ground pool, close to work)
