The carfax when i ran it had ALOT of maintenance records for the S4. it looked very well cared for.
I am going through it right now…it’s running pretty good. Just rebuilt the ABS module yesterday
how many miles are on the body of the 93 BMW and how many miles is on the drive train of the swap?
155k on chassis, approximately the same on the drivetrain (its within 10k)
BUMP
added a few cars - 01 civic, 98 impreza, 93 camry, 03 325xiT, and 04 STI
just picked up the 2004 STI tonight, its stock with 70k. needs some small paintwork and rear struts are making noise. newer tires. $14000 as it sits, price will go up as I put money into it.
good market price on the STi. What kind of clunking, suspension, axle, diff? Or can’t really tell.
I am going to guess that the clunking is normal. My Evo did it too until I had the diff fluid changed. I read a lot of posts on forums that awd cars develop it over time and it’s normal - but hey, I am not mechanic.
Edit: Did a search, and a bunch of suspension issues came up - so I am full of shit
its the struts, im pretty sure its a very common problem. this is not drive line related…
Does that evo have a JDM rear bumper? It looks great!
AWD cars should not just “normally” develop diff clunks. They come from abuse and/or lack of maintenance.
If it’s the struts on the STi, that is SUPER common. Not a big deal at all.
lol its not a diff clunk. REAR STRUTS
Thanks - as I said in that post - I was full of shit.
Besides, what I was talking about had to do with the diff bushings - not the actual diff
Siq price on that STI.
