My Keurig died. Recommend me a new kcup brewer

I dont think the stupid thing lasted a year, and it was the big expensive baller model…

I’ve heard this is fairly common, that the Keurig brand is crap. Can anyone recommend a better brand? I’d like to stick with kcups because they are just so damn convinient.

My friend has one in his shop’s waiting room, he goes through 3-4 80c boxes a month, it’s been there almost 3 years and it’s still going. The one Sams/BJ’s sells seems to be the one that holds up vs. the $80 one at department stores & the like. Mine’s over 2 years old and gets 2-3 cups a day through it.

I have had one for a few months which I love. My parents have had one since they came out and never had problems with it using Brita water in it while using it 2-3 times a day and taking care of it.

I have this one. It’s expensive as all hell, but it’s manufactured by Cuisinart and is a beast. It can hold like 90 oz of water and has an internal filter (you can just fill it with tap water).

I have had the keurig for 2yrs no problems but me and the wife want that cuisinart beast  we have a small appliance addiction lol.

No one I know has had a problem with their keurig.

If it’s been less than a year … http://www.keurig.com/customer-service/brewer-registration-and-support/warranty-information

My co-worker’s keurig crapped out on him too. He called and they shipped him a new one, no questions asked. Worth a shot…

i bought a cheap $60 mr. coffee model for myself and the people i work with. it goes through about 5 cups a day, none of us bother to use filtered water. been over a year with no problems. it’s like the most simplistic model, but does the job very well. and the coffee comes out hot, not scalding to the point where you can’t drink it. i like it better than the model i have at home which i paid about $150 for.

Yeah, heard there was a problem with some of the models. Mine crapped out after about a year and a half, then after a thorough cleaning and some applied science it started working again. It’s been fine ever since(about 4 more months)

Mines going on its forth year of 2+ cups a day and is now in my apartment where it sees like 5+ a day with all my roommates. I try to actually take it apart and clean it well every 6 months, or else it tends to act up. So try cleaning it before anything, might work again

no receipt. bought it new off of CL.

Word

I might give it a shot this weekend… I’ve got no backup coffee maker in the meantime which is causing my employees great grief.

I know people who have run cleaning stuff through it as suggested by Keurig too. Also, make sure you take out the KCup when you are done to prevent build up.

Baller. What’s the model on that beast?

Flavia

The issue at hand is as soon as the heating element turns on, it kicks right back off.

You are not a baller until you have a coffee machine that has a direct connection to a water supply

Check the water tank inlet on the keurig, sometimes it requires cleaning.

Comes with the “My K Cup” and you can put your own coffee grounds in that.

Mine has been good for about a year and a half now. I noticed sometimes after a few weeks of not using it, whatever keeps track of the water goes bonkers and it has some issues like half full cups or taking in water from the reservoir for a long time and the water is just going back into the reservoir from the little overfill drain. Like it thinks it’s not full of water inside, but it is. After a couple cycles making hot water it straightens itself out.

The one at my work I’m worried about because there’s lots of calcium buildup in the reservoir. We put spring water in that one. I have to wash it out every once in a while because the float sticks from the buildup.

The one at home I use tap water.

Seems to me like the MORE you use them, the less likely they are to break??? Strange but thats been my experience.

yea this thing probably makes 3-5 cups a day
