yup yup … i couldn’t resist
Careful? what’s that mean? :naughty:
that bike should have maaaaaad torque… I got the chance to ride a Honda RC-51 last year. v-twins are fun. :bigok:
My buddy has a Tiller. He loves it, and they do sound awesome. Congrats.
-TJ
how many months till he dumps it or kills himself…
Fixed.
I’ve always joked with Bish about how he’s going to die on a bike, but he’s been riding dirtbikes/his dad’s bike for a while now. He’s a little crazy in his car sometimes, but as long as he shows respect for the bike, he’ll be fine.
I rode a crotch rocket for the first time a few months ago, and it gave me a pretty good appreciation of how fast/dangerous they can be. That being said, I still want one.
they have the internet in Shelocta?
my buddy got a Tiller, its yellow and black. A tiller is a cross between a busa and a Gixxer…[lol] not bad bikes at all good for low end power up top they do lack the HP. There are a few issues for you to keep and eye out for. One being the Fuel Injection [oh wait you said 00 i dont think that year had it] off top of my head i cant think of the others. good luck with that bike and it will eat eat rear tires up quickly
yes, it is fuel injection… i read up on it a lil before i bought the bike. I heard that there were problems with it from the factory, but if you had the copmuter remapped, everything was fixed. As i said, the computer has been remapped for that and the exhaust.
and yes, as weaves has said, i have a good amount of experience on bikes and i have learned my lesson the hard way… granted, this is mostly with dirtbikes - which i have a theory that if you don’t wreck it, you’re not going as fast as you can. but street machines are different and i do have a lot of respect for the motorcycle and its abilities. However, i feel that i am not the person to have to worry about. its the other person out there, mainly old ladies, that have to be looked out for.
oh yea…
actually my addy is shelocta, but i live closer to a lil town called West Lebanon. they do have dial-up internet, but you can’t get cable television :eek2: sometimes is sucks to live out in the boonies… but there’s lots of dirtbike trails to be had, so i dont mind it.
cool cool…nice looking bike and car!!!
getting a 1000 out of the gate will be a bad idea, how many of us here can refuse the temptation to wind the throttle on that bike?
None, to remove the temptation get a smaller bike, when you are ready for a bit more power work your way up through small mods and then jump to the bigger bikes…
Just how I would do it, but I refuse to ride a bike around this area, Cranberry is a nightmare for a bike.
awesome. i love suzukis. have fun and be careful.
I used to live on Parkwood Road.
sweet… that’s surprising… never expected to see someone on here that knew where i lived.
I do understand that this is a lot of bike… however, if you respect it, its nothing you can’t handle. I do have a lot of experience… its not like i just began riding this past summer… and i dont care what anyone says… a 250 dirtbike will throw you back and rip your arms outta thier sockets as well as about anything… granted, dirtbikes vs. streetbikes… they’re two different subjects… but all i’m saying is, a 250 is as dangerous as you can get offroad - a bike that will hurt you, if not kill you if you dont completely respect it. Trust me, i know… I had a close cousin die on a RM250 a couple years ago
i respect anyone’s opinion. not everyone’s riding style and ability is the same. I think i’m gonna be just fine w/ this motorcycle
I’ve actually always been a Yamaha fan. I wanted an R1 like nothing else… it’s my dream bike… and i will buy one in a few years, no doubt… but i couldn’t pass up this deal. I know Suzuki sportbikes are quality bikes and it seemed almost too good to be true. o well, it is true, and i’m very very pleased!
I will by no means become a die-hard suzuki fan tho… for fear of being like my brother - to him if its not a Honda, its just plain junk. The only bikes i don’t care for are Kawi’s tho… just dont care for the looks, and from what i hear aren’t very good bikes (w/ exception to the past 2 years or so)…
theres on kid on here from Kittanning, a couple from Freeport, not sure if theres any from Indiana. I grew up in downtown Indiana till i was about 11, then the parents split and my dad and I moved into this shit ass trailer out on Parkwood Road. Lived out there for about 8 months, then my dad got remarried and we moved to Kittanning. Stayed there till I was about 20, went to college for 3 semesters right by the airport in Pittsburgh, then moved to Ocean City and been here ever since. West Lebanon is out in the fuckin sticks lol.
:hs: unfortuantely, yes
living in the sticks has its advantages. Loud music, dirtbikes, bonfires, privacy…
can’t argue with that
