My quest for 9's on a stock block EVO

I would be saying good bye to its heat however i am stationed down in VA so its warmer here till about OCT-NOV where i wont need heat and then Starts getting a little better in March-April time. Then if i stay in i plan on going farther south. I will drive this car in nice weather and all. I also have my truck to drive all the time. Its just a really fun hobby.

And yes I do plan on going bigger turbo once i push this stock block to when it goes boom. lol. Thats just one less part i will need to buy when the time comes. lol.

Are you going to be driving it or is Emery driving it? Any reason for what looks to be such a small intake? Not sure about the capabilities of the stock IM but is it going to start choking at these levels?

i am going to be driving it. we are going to test to see how far the intake mani will go. i am also on the stock exhaust mani, both unported or anything.

The actual intake is 3 inches which is bigger then the turbo inlet (2.5). The Intake manifolds have been tested and until 500 whp the stock one out performs everything on the market. We are on a budget so we are doing what we can to make it work. We are only on the hunt for another 50 whp and hoping the Setup of the car will make the rest of the difference. Chris is actually a pretty good driver so I’m sure once he gets over his nerves he will do just fine.

Im am learning and working on it. My first time down the track with the same set-up i ran a 11.1 on i ran a 12.6. Then my 2nd time at the track i ran the 11.1. Then upped the boost about 3 psi and i ran the 10.79, so i am getting a lot better for never being to the track till september this year.

Here’s a few comparison pictures of the stock underbrace vs the Buschur brace:

10 pounds vs 4 pounds… and it’s a lot shinier too

very nice

Here you are sir.

looks good
do you guys ever run a filter right off the turbo, or do you usually have it routed somewhere?

We try to keep them away from the radiator as much as possible. The less heat that comes in the less we will have to cool.

Good point lol, thank you

looks stellar:tup:

Nice stuff

to bad the STM logo is plastered all over the pictures

lol

Thats because all the work is done at STM and theyre friends of mine. I cant really take pictures of my car from VA, the military has all kinds of technology but none that they let me play with that can do that.

Nothing against you man, but Emery isn’t allowed to promote / advertise his business on this site. Next time he takes pics for you ask him to leave out the logo & website.

lmfao. :picard:
