im pretty sure those EPT tests are just qualitative for hGC (human chorionic gonadotropin) a hormone. Basically you can start testing 12-14 days after conception, but yes there are a few reasons for false negatives (actually pregnant but test says you arent) im unfamiliar with the EPT test exactly but since it looks digital i dont think waiting long enough is a problem. For the tests to read positive they need ~25miU/mL of hGC in the volume of urine applied to the applicator. A false negative can result from urine which is too dilute… when you go to your doctor they should do a Serum test rather than hGC which is more accurate… just my 2 cents, congrats!!

1 drop less = false negative… low hGC: incorrect delivery date, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy
1 drop more = false positive… high hGC: twins
