I finally got sick of wearing through tires prematurely both on the street and at the track drifting, so I called up SG-Motorsport to see what they could do for me. Sasha was able to work totally with my schedule, and fit me in after work last Tuesday.
So here’s the scoop on my car
I have Bing’s full rear multilink set-up, including RUCA’s, Toe arms, and traction arms. In the front I have installed Bing’s inner and outter tie rod ends, with Megan street coils all around.
I did all of the installation myself and have no alignment tools… you can imagine how out of whack this thing was… but really, it doesn’t take much at all to cause premature tire wear.
Sasha had me up and running with a setup perfectly balanced between street and track with his super high tech machine.
Here’s a shot of the Kouki up on the machine. (excuse the cell pic…)
You wouldn’t believe how this thing rides now… I can’t believe how nicely it corners on the road at high speeds.
All of this at an extremely reasonable rate… try to bring a car set up like this to a regular shop… haha
iono… i told sasha to give me something awesome… i dont think it’s actually 4 degrees because he didnt give me the printout… something… whatever… weeee…
car hooks like a friggin banshee, even in the hard rain, at dunnville so whatever the alignment is it helps.
Let me tell you this, I have NEVER had an alignment done where my car would track straight and my steering wheel would be straight as well.
However, SG pulled it off, Sasha spent a little extra time on it and voila the car is so much better to drive. My alignment specs are mainly for the street with -2.5 deg up front and -2 in the back. I asked for that setup and got exactly that. Sasha was great at listening to what I wanted and recommended a great setup.
