Omg Alignment Machine!?

Thats right boys.

Here’s how the story goes.

SG as you may or may not know has always had low aggressive vehicles

naturally, being suspended by 4 rolling tires these vehicles often needed alignments. We would then take these vehicles to other shops in order to get these so called “alignments” done.

What we continued to find was that our vehicles were just too low and too ridiculous to efficiently align.

So then one day we decided to buy a cheap alignment machine to do alignments!

It didnt work.

It still sits in the shop to this day.

But the requirement for low vehicle friendly alignments did not go away and thus we ventured on, telling ourselves that we must use sg style to buy an alignment machine, only the best!!

So we called snap on. Lol. Then we called Bear. Lol. Then! We called Hofmann. Now Hofmann is essentially the same as Snap-On in the States, John Bean, Snap-On and Hofmann are all the same products with different branding. Think GM.

So after much review research and consulting we’ve purchased a brand new alignment machine that uses the latest imaging technology, bluetooth, magnesium casings, you name it we got it. But we’re doing things a little different than most shops, because we’re setting this up for you boys with low cars and low bumpers.

Rather than using a 4 post hoist we are using our 2 post hoist, so driving up steep ramps is no longer required to get your car aligned! OMG! There are no longer air jacks that will smash your underbody as you try to drive on the alignment machine and best of all when we get corner balancing scales we’ll be able to not only do alignements but alignments and corner balancing all at once!

So there you have it children, the story of the sg alignment.

Will update with pics when she arrives!!

For now, here is the Snap-On version of the Hofmann machine we’ve invested in:

We will be starting our system out with introductory pricing until Oct 1. 2008!! 80$ up to 1hr, 80$ hourly thereafter, can’t beat it!!!

Lastly, trust SG to evaluate your suspension type (strut, multilink, double wishbone), tires, driving application, and wear vs. performance compromise to offer you ideal alignment settings.

I just cracked my neck really hard ow

so with the new machines, you can adjust everything suspended? kinda like a jack and hold for camber? i do all the alignments at my work and the only thing you can adjust without interupting the readings is camber. So with these new ones, you get the readings on the ground then do all the adjustments hanging? just curious on how these work, lol we got a very old bear system.

thanks, Ron

schweet… target the niche market… I’m sure it’ll work out well for you…

Me like…alot

once again sg is stepping it up, corner balancing, alignments. what dont they do? Awsome price too, you’d be hard pressed that price usuing 20 year old bear racks, never mind state-of-the-art slammed-accessable machine.

Awsome.

My car is there already…do it!

i cannot wait to get my car aligned there…

it’s such a friggin hassle finding a shop that has the competence, willingness and the equipment to do a proper alignment on our cars.

moreover, who the hell wants factory specs anyways?

SG-FULL-RACE-ALIGNING!!

looks like you’re really building a very strong foundation for your shop

kudos to you

I never hesitate to recommend your shop to anyone that needs work done!

+1 for quality work

I noticed it says “Portable Imaging Aligner” We going to see this @ dunnville?

Track side alignments FTMFW!

:stuck_out_tongue:

I just got f-d in the a on a stupid alignment shop before I left the country. When I return I will need a PROPER alignment!

Thank you SG!!

I went to god knows how many shops to get my alignment done and only 2 of them could do it properly. Hell, my car isn’t even that low! (not to mention that most of them didn’t know what to do with the multilink).

I’m sure Sasha and the guys at SG will be able to do the job w/o problems

Thanks for the kind words guys we look forward to getting you all squared away. Hah. oh man that was so gay

It is here! Kels is aligned and so is Dannos car! Calibration is happening tommorow, but we’ve got all the kinks worked out and as soon as this baller machine is calibrated we’re open for business!

Shhwwweeeetttt!

What a wicked peice of machinery.

thats a nice machine. and i see you are using sliding plates so you can align the car while it is under load which is the CORRECT way to do it. i think i know where to go when i need my shit done.

peace

what’s the standard time to align a car with full multi-link (assuming there is no rusted bolts etc etc etc…)

assuming no ride height changes and the arms are correctly set, 1hr.

that’s what i’m talking about!

definitely good deal. I was going to wait till next summer to get a proper alignment but $80 for an alignment, I think I’ll be coming once the machine is calibrated.

time to take out my -4 camber…

Thing looks like an effing robot… A really ballin robot. I’ll be sure to stop by when my car needs aligning, which should be fairly soon.

I love it

got it calibrated today, so we’re good to go boys, email me for appointments. This week is pretty booked up but we’ll have more time in the coming weeks to do more alignments

The guy calibrated the machine for both hoists, which is very baller, so we can align on whichever hoist is available!
