i may be ready for a time next week Sash… i’ll let you know… just have to set my ride height in the rear a bit lower…
Sasha, is that Josh’s S14 I see there :D? How’s the work coming? He was talking to me about his plans at a recent show!
Nice alignment machine btw, I’ll have to stop by for one soon.
definitely a nice piece of machine, last toyota dealer my dad worked at had a hunter laser alignment machine like that, big money stuff.
Calm like a bomb… LOL
Thanks for the kind words guys.
Yes that is Josh’s S14, the swap went really well, he went with a lot of really quality parts and the end result was a beautiful sr swap that ran flawlessly! I’ve got progress pics but I forgot to take some pictures when we finished it.
Quick question, this benig a “portable” alignment machine, do you see it possible to bring this equipment track side so people can get multiple alignments and test out different setups etc? It would take a lot longer to setup since no hoist would be available but just seeing if that would be an option for the near future.
I’m sure that would benefit a lot of people who track their car on a monthly basis.
pretty much no possible way to take an alignment machine to the track, unless the track had a garage of some sort with power and shit. but this one doesnt look to have all the big bulky things that a standard alignment machine has, i guess if you got 4 jack stands and some power might be able to work. yeah i just went back on what i said first…hmmm
Sasha aligned my car last friday before CSCS… the car felt incredible on the track… lots of negative camber, lots of grip.
what’s your experience in setting up front wheel drive cars?
I’m glad the car worked well for you bings
FWD cars need really aggressive alignment settings to help them use the rear tires and get the car to rotate
sometimes even toe out in the rear is beneficial
Sasha, you know we want to see more pictures of hot cars on your alignment machine! =D
I am interested to know if you have experience aligning AWD cars?
I’ll call in when i need the alignment done. the car is dd for now but i need to make sure everything is done correctly by a trained professional/enthusiast like yourself. i normally reference off the se-r club settings from sr20forum but i have no experience, just book knowledge.
Hey Sasha, would you be able to do anything for the G? My turn in sucks balls. I don’t have any aftermarket adjustable arms on my car though, would it have enough range in the stock arms for you to work your magic?
called yesterday and today.
I need to book an alignment for next week.
here are some images since I may have been unclear on the phone
and she sits like this right now, sorry, this image is rather large
The lower control arms now have spacers and the endlinks for the front sway bar is back on, that was a work in progress picture.
your calipers are upside down
we’ll discuss the other issues tommorow on the phone
Hey Sasha, unfortunately I can’t talk tomorrow. I have classes the entire day.
I know the load on that lca looks odd but I took the shot at an angle. I’ve driven the car around my block, and I’ve also jacked up the car on just one side, either left, or right, to put load onto the suspension system.
here is another shot of the lca:

I used a Mig welder, 220v with argon gas.
As for the caliper. It is wilwood dynalite series. The caliper has bleeder valves both on the top and the bottom. The instructions provided tell to bleed only the top ones.
it would be great if you could send me a private message.
Thanks
