I guess you can shoehorn a LS1 into anything
Seeing the LS1 in non GM cars makes me want to put one in an old Quattro. Looks like a good time.
Thats because it is such a small engine physically that you really aren’t “shoehorning” it in, it just fits in alot of places. With the covers removed it is obvious just how small the engine really is
what cam are you running and what other “tricks” do you have up your sleeve? The best i have been able to do so far with my fat bitch is a 12.02 @ 118.5 with a 1.8 6 foot and multiple holes (vac leaks) in the bottom of my manifold
Your shit is full weight
Go on a diet
heard the ass mount vette burned down. If this is true I am sorry.
It wasn’t the NEP 'vette.
strys car had an engine issue but it didnt burn down.
He is going to tell you the same thing you have heard before. Coming from someone else who ran around the same times NA I am going to say your car has a great MPH. With the vac leak sorted out and coming out the hole hard enough without bog you will go over 120mph. That being said you need a real 60ft and the ability to come out of the hold at 5k+rpms without a big bog afterward. Whats the answer? REAL slicks and a steep gear. Just my 2 cents.
new era/FTI street sweeper cam
I’m looking to get a FAST intake and bigger then stock TB on the car next. I listed the mods here

I agree with Justin here. You have a similar camshaft that is a tad bigger. The hugh crack in the bottom of the FAST intake wasn’t helping you any for the tune, driveability, or power. Your car is full weight with leather interior with back seats, front & rear bumper supports. You also have 3.73 gears which will be great once you put a set of AFR heads on an start making big power. Drop some weight and get it out of the hole and your ETs will fall
I didnt know the G8 transferred weight so well for a 4k lb sedan. The car was 4035 with me in it. I had a good time driving it all weekend!
it was more fun racing the tow vehicles :snky:
ETPs tow truck was cleaning it up on da streetz
I had way more weight in my truck…and he had a power adder. Wait til next year
