So this past weekend I went to my cottage in rushford. Saturday we decided to go for a little hike at letchworth were I happened to get some shots. Over all, what an amazing weekend!

Ah yes, the yummy green water. Upstream there is a old cemetery where, back-in-the-day, they embalmed bodies using formaldehyde. When it rains, the water travels down though the ground & dead bodies and takes with it the formaldehyde, which then flows into the river giving it a green hue. True story. Just don’t drink or swim in it…
Proof please. By now it would be long gone and besides it would take a ton of it to turn a whole river green…

Contact UB’s department of Geology and talk to anyone with a hydrology background. Undergrads are required to visit that site for field work to complete their hydrology requirement.
There is a ton of it there, and it slowly seeps out into the river. You have to remember that it takes a long time to ‘flow’ between layers of rock and soil. And it doesn’t take a lot to change the color of the water.

they got them at tops, and actually we got them from the store right around the corner from my cottage, the country store, which i was surprised they even had them in the first place
I was at letchworth yesterday with the fam.
I let the dog loose near st. helena so she could act like a dog for a while.
Other spots I use the “gentle leader” and people keep giving me dirty looks
for putting a muzzle on my little attack lab.
The harness on the kid is probably because he is soooo much faster than the parent.
Tempting him with taco’s is probably not enough motivation to get him to come back.
