NECC Dyno Day! August 21st, 2004

Man, I really want to go now that my car is getting some real boost. Do you think I can get this couple to reschedule their wedding? hehe

 Just got a job…I will be working if it doesn’t rain, so I don’t want to do this but I am hoping for rain…If I do have to work, at like 9pm does anyone want to get drunk with me?

Just so everyone knows once again it’s been booked with Apex Modified on:

Date: Saturday August 21st, 2004
AT: 10:00am
Where: Apex Modified 3271 Parsons Road
Website for more info:

Sorry guys I can’t make it. I really wanted to get up there, sucks to have to be responsible all the time!

…Dan

Don’t worry too much. There’ll be other opportunities. I organize the Apex dyno day for the Edmonton Z Car Club every year, and we typically (the last two years so far) have ours in May. So you’ll have plenty of time to prepare your car for that if you wish to join us in the spring.

A few cancelled now, so there are 3 spots open. Possibly two more if those that haven’t confirmed cancel.

Come all, lets make this happen.

3 cars of any brand but preferably compacts would be preferred. This will be FUN!!

Just a suggestion for you guys: if you end up with a mix of FWD and RWD cars try to do the like-kind consecutively… ie. do all the RWD in a row then all the FWD in a row, if possible.

Not mandatory but it would help the Apex staff and your schedule for things to go quicker because otherwise they have to move the fan(s) positions and strap adjustments around back and forth to accommodate the two configurations.

RWD cars face into the shop. FWD cars face out of the shop (towards the bay door).

Im broke after vacation, but ill probably stop by and watch.

what time should we all arrive by?

sounds like a good time but would be better if more poeple dynoed

Should be there for 10am. I think thats fair. Then we put people on, one at a time.

Oh oh, the weather isn’t looking so nice…

Be sure to bring along your umbrella’s.

Jared, remember to bring the timing gun!

im going to stop by after i finish work at 5… will u still be at apexis?

You can thank me…and now that the weather s shit, i’ll be there probably at like 11 to watch.

i came at like 5:30 and everyone was gone… jus wondering where we are meeting at before the UC meet…???

I’d like to thank Adam and Travis for being very gracious hosts and great dyno operators.
I would like everybody who felt likewise to a thank them on there Apex modified forum.
I also thank everbody who showed up and dynoed or just watched. The attendance was great.

Hey all.

I’m very very pleased with the way thing went down at the dyno event today. Of course not on a personal note, but on the page of the NECC as a whole.

Thanks a lot to the Apex guys, Adam and Travis, as they were very helpful, and allowed us to do our own thing throughout the day.

Thanks to everything who helped out with this. I hope you all liked the event, and are interested in doing such an event in the future. Of course the weather let us down, and put a damper on things. Perhaps the next time, we can plan for nicer weather and more things to do.

Thanks to Jared and everyone else who was there to help people out when there was a problem or whatever the circumstance.

Turn out was great, and I’m a happy camper.

I will post pics and numbers in a bit.

Aaron
